I'm a writer and an artist, often at the same time. I also take to the stage at frequent intervals to make people laugh and share my insights into the creative process. Most of my work appears in The New Yorker and Texas Monthly magazines. That's because I grew up in Texas and then eventually wound up in New York City. I'm a Tex Yorker. I now live in Los Angeles, but in a good way.
